Designed, developed, and deployed "PlayingHymns.com", a global e-commerce platform engineered for the international commercialization and distribution of digital hymn books and sheet music in PDF format. The application features a self-managed catalog and an automated backend synchronization system that guarantees instantaneous digital file delivery to the customer upon successful checkout.
Implementing an international payment funnel requires absolute data synchronization between external payment triggers and local server actions. The technical challenge consisted of processing asymmetric data inputs—such as handling customer order states, verifying complex transactions through the PayPal API, securely parsing structural catalog data using XML, and maintaining a lightweight backend architecture to prevent data leaks or unauthorized file access.
Built a complete full-stack solution utilizing native PHP for backend business logic and JavaScript for asynchronous client-side operations. I successfully integrated the secure PayPal REST API to handle multi-currency global transactions. By combining strict server-side download tokens with event-driven verification loops, the system isolates raw file directories and automatically dispatches the requested PDF assets to the buyer's screen immediately after payment confirmation.
